HELP MY FRIEND IS DEAD!

3/19/13 by Escalus

And by dead friend, I mean My computer Windows 7 needed an update, so I shut down all of my programs and it automatically updated (As a computer should) and shut itself down, great!

Until the next day:
THIS SHIT HAPPENS
It turns on as usual, all of the fans are running typical beeping sound of it starting up, but then after the NVIDIA version notification pops up, my ASUS boot screen won't appear after (Like it normally does)

idk wtf happened, but it's been going on for 3 days straight, I've unplugged everything, left it alone to cool off, replugged everything, removed the battery, made sure everything was plugged in again, stuck a flash drive in it etc.

HELP ME
(I can't report without my high end computer!!!)

Maybe pull the video card, install it on another box, then update the cards flash bios that way?
Truly sucks, really hope you can get this resolved, or at least the bad component narrowed down

Does windows load, and you just have no image? Maybe press F somethingorother after the POST finishes, select safe mode, see what BS the update did to your video drivers... almost sounds like the flash bios on the card got wiped and not re-written :(
Doesn't sound like a HW issue, had to be the update... that's what killed my sis' laptop; windows defender and win 7 updates.

That's the problem, there's no POST screen and I can't get to the bios because the screen is always black
